Quantoz Payments B.V. has unveiled its latest innovation, the Embedded Payment Services, a flexible API-driven platform tailored for fintechs, digital platforms, and payment service providers. This new offering enables these entities to seamlessly incorporate regulated digital money, accounts, wallets, and compliance functionalities directly into their products. The Dutch group savings application, Potje, which facilitates collaborative saving among friends, families, and colleagues for common goals, is the inaugural company to implement this platform.
Expanding beyond their existing regulated e-money tokens, Quantoz Payments’ new service delivers APIs and infrastructure aimed at streamlining the creation of payment and settlement solutions throughout European markets. This platform is designed to alleviate the complexities involved with licensing, compliance, safeguarding, and operational infrastructure by allowing businesses to integrate specific payment components that meet their needs.
Built on blockchain-native technology, Quantoz’s Embedded Payment Services offer partners the flexibility to integrate and expand different components as required. The platform’s features include digital wallets, inbound and outbound payment processing, Pay by Bank capabilities, and comprehensive fraud, risk, and compliance processes. Potje, having collaborated closely with Quantoz during the platform’s development phase, is now its first live partner.
Potje users can now enjoy the security of having their funds managed by Quantoz Payments under the oversight of the Dutch Central Bank. The integration facilitates easy fund additions via a Europe-wide Pay by Bank service, with payouts processed instantly and withdrawals remaining flexible. Potje’s CEO, Bastiaan Reurink, expressed that the partnership aims to simplify and secure the process of group saving, with enhanced features like faster top-ups and immediate payouts supporting their vision of becoming a leading group money account across Europe.
Arjen van Klaarbergen, Chief Legal Officer at Quantoz Payments, highlighted that this new service equips fintechs and platforms with a regulated digital-money infrastructure, eliminating the need for them to develop their own compliance, safeguarding, and payment operations from scratch. Operating under its current regulatory framework, Quantoz Payments is licensed as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the Netherlands, adhering to the supervision of the Dutch Central Bank. Funds exchanged for e-money are protected in line with European regulatory standards. These Embedded Payment Services are available to fintechs, platforms, and payment service providers operating within the European Economic Area (EEA).
